Tags: Experience God Isaiah 41 storms

I happened to be in Charlotte, NC helping my mom go through her husband’s clothing and belongings and take them to Salvation Army when hurricane Irma decided to come to Florida. Although it did not directly hit Vero Beach, one side of the palm trees and sea oats and bushes turned brown as if they were singed by a fire! My guess is the stinging sand and 140 mph wind simply killed the sides of the trees which were facing east. Of course the power was out and lots of foliage damage occurred.

Sometimes our lives can seem like a hurricane or storm has passed right through. A family member can become sick for no reason, we can continue in a bad habit or act that is not healthy for us, we can experience a financial loss or we may just not want to deal with something that needs our attention. But God promises to help us! He loves us, He is for us, He wants to help us but we must first come to Him and ask for His help. We must know what His Word says so we can trust He can work it all out.

Isaiah 41 promises "10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand….13 For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

Next time you are in a hurricane or are just dealing with everyday life, speak these verses in Isaiah 41 over your life and remember, do not be worried, God will strengthen and help you, God is holding your hand.
