Spring boldly into our new identity in Christ~

When I first came back to the Lord in 2010 I felt I needed to understand who I truly was and what I now have in Christ. I needed to understand my new identity! I found a list of scriptures Bible teacher Joyce Meyer had put together with all of these promises and I added more of my favorite verses. I began to re-build my faith in who God says I am and not what the world says about me. Since faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:10) I would read this list aloud each day (it is taped to my bathroom mirror!) until I began to get these truths and my new identity deep down into my spirit! God says He makes all things new. (Revelation 21:5, Isaiah 43:19). He says we now walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:4). Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new! (2 Corinthians 5:17).

When we ask Jesus to come into our hearts, forgive us of our sins and put on our new identity in Christ, God says I am now righteous in Him or I am His righteousness! (2 Corinthians 5:21) I have everything my daddy God has! I am united with Christ, I have my inheritance from God (and He owns everything!) (Ephesians 1:11). I am victorious, (1 Corinthians 5:57), He will make my way prosperous, (Joshua 1:8), I am like a strong tree planted, (Psalm 1:3). I am an ambassador for Christ, (2 Corinthians 5:20), I have a new ministry of reconciliation reconciling people back to God.(2 Corinthians 5:18-19), I am His beloved,(1 John 4:19), I am filled with his Holy Spirit,(Ephesians 1:3), I am healthy and strong, (Jeremiah 30:17, Joel 3:10), and He makes strong my weak knees! (Isaiah 35:3-4). I follow Jesus! (Matthew 16:24)

Matthew 6:33- But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
