Step 12 of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous says ~ Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs.

And the Celebrate Recovery Biblical comparison for Step 12 ~Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore them gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Galatians 6:1 NIV.

We began discussing this last night at our Road to Recovery group that meets Wednesdays, 6-7pm at Christ Church in Vero Beach, FL. (I am honored to participate and now help lead with my fiancé, Michael Pitman!!) As we live our new life of recovery we are called to share what God has done for us with others. Jesus said our two main laws are now to love God and love others-Matthew 22:36-40. We give God glory as we share with others helpful tips and things we have learned in our own recovery. I have found having a Fitness recovery ministry has blessed me tremendously as I can confidently tell others how God rescued me from 20 years of unhealthy habits and addictions! And I practice these spiritual principals each day because that is how we stay fit in every area of life.

God gives us many instructions on carrying the message of hope to others in His Word. I encourage you as you have been helped, share your experience, strength and hope with someone today!
Luke 8:39 -Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

Psalm 71:15-18 -My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.

Revelation 12:11 -And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

Matthew 10:32 -So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,

Psalm 66:16- Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.

1 Peter 3:15 -But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,

Matthew 5:16 - In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Titus 3:3-7 -For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Psalm 107:1-2 -Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble

Psalm 35:28 -Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long.

Jeremiah 51:10 -The LORD has brought about our vindication; come, let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
